Our Mission Statement
The Shawano County Humane Society is dedicated to providing humane treatment and care to animals needing protection, returning lost pets to their owners, providing humane education to the public, and placing unwanted pets in responsible, loving homes. We are a non-profit organization and operate on donations and fund-raisers.

Cat adoption is $50.00. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, snap test and ID chip.
Do you have a barn or other area that is in need of an outdoor cat to keep other little critters away? Contact the Shawano County Humane Society. We have feral to semi-feral cats that have been fixed and are in need of outdoor homes to call their own. You will need to complete an adoption application but there is no adoption fee. Please contact us if interested!
Part Time Help Wanted
The Shawano County Humane Society is currently looking for a part time employee. This position will have up to 40 hours per pay period, which consists of two week intervals. The majority of the hours will be from 8 a.m. to Noon, but there may also be some afternoons. Morning work consists of cleaning and feeding. Afternoons consist of customer service, transferring dogs between indoor and outdoor kennels and kennel cleanup. Must be able to work weekdays and weekends. You must also be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work with cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, etc. If interested, please stop at the Shawano County Humane Society located at 1290 Jaycee Court in Shawano, WI for an application. Doc's Annual Bike & Classic Car Blessing
Saturday, May 8th beginning at 11:45 am at Doc's Harley-Davidson of Shawano County in Bonduel, WI. The ride will leave at 12:30 pm. It is a scenic 40 mile ride which returns to Doc's Timeline Saloon & BBQ for music, silent auction, bucket raffle and food for purchase. There is no charge for the blessing but a minimum of $10 per person donation to participate in the ride. All funds raised will be donated to the Shawano County Humane Society.
Lumberyard Bar & Grill Fundraiser For Shawano County Humane Society
Saturday, May 15th at the Golden Sands Golf Course. This is a 4 person scramble. It is $65.00 dollars per person, which includes golfing, cart, prizes and dinner. Dinner will follow the event at Golden Sands and prizes will then be awarded at the Lumberyard Bar & Grill in Bonduel. Sign up forms are available at the Shawano County Humane Society and Golden Sands Golf Course.
Annual Banquet, TBD at The Main Event in Cecil
Social hour starts at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. There are plenty of raffles and silent auction items. If you have a business that would like to donate an item for raffle, please contact the shelter. Registration is $35.00 if you register by TBD, and $40.00 after that. If you register by TBD, your name will be put into the early bird raffle for a chance at $40.00 worth of raffle tickets. You can also earn $10.00 worth of raffle tickets by donating a basket of items to be raffled. Baskets must be to the shelter by TBD to qualify. Please see the registration form for further details.
